This hand held
Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge 4 Digital LCD Display will allow the thickness of many standard materials to be determined without having to damage them. It consists of an ultrasonic sensor which is held on the outside of the material, and a hand held display. Applications include;
1.Determining Pipe wall thickness for ultrasonic flow metering
2.Preventative maintenance of pressure pipes – checking wall integrity.
3. Checking thickness of vessel plating
It will measure a range of pipe wall thicknesses from 1mm to 200mm thick. Although the sensor is set up to measure steel pipes, it can be easily re-calibrated to measure a wide range of other materials such as PVC, Teflon, Glass, Ceramics… The thickness gauge has a 20 position memory, to allow recording of measurements made. It has it’s own built in steel calibration block, which can be easily used to recalibrate the sensor head.
